Ontario
Women's Lacrosse extends an open invitation to all new clubs and minor
associations to participate in the girl’s field lacrosse play days being
offered this summer.
With the
IFWLA Women's U-19 World Championship taking place in Peterborough in
August, the excitement surrounding this event is sure to draw precedented
attention to girl’s field lacrosse. With this in mind, Ontario Women’s
Lacrosse is offering minor associations across the province the opportunity
for girls in your community to try field lacrosse with play days at three
age levels.
These
play days are an ideal first time playing opportunity and well suited to a
group of girls practicing together for a few weeks prior to the play day.
The play day format will offer a series of short games. No scores will be
kept as the emphasis is on fun and learning the game.
Your
minor association is welcome to participate at any of the three age groups
available including under-12, under-15 and under-19. The under-12 age group
is new this year and is a great starting point for a new team.
The
Registration Form
contains more information on the play days including dates, locations and
registration details.
