It is with deepest regret
that I have to inform you that Geoff Elmer passed away on Saturday
evening after his hard fought bout. He was a good man and a true
friend in many ways to all. His dedication at the club level and for
the betterment of lacrosse, specifically girls lacrosse, will be his
legacy. He will be sadly missed.
The details of the visitation & funeral are as follows:
Location: Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line,
Burlington - One block north of the QEW - 905-632-3333
Visitation: Tuesday,
April 1 - 3-5 pm & 7-9 pm
Service: Wednesday,
April 2 - 11 am @ Smith's - Internment to follow

ELMER, Geoffrey Hugh, P.Eng.
Passed away after a brief and courageous battle, with his family by his
side, on Saturday, March 29, 2008, Geoff, at the age of 48 years. Cherished
husband and best friend of Helen. Loving father of Kevin, Sean, Sarah and
Stacie. Dear brother of Steve (Janet) and Mike (Susan). Son of Rosemary and
Lloyd. Best buddy of Joe Slomka. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends. Geoff was a professional engineer with IESO,
for over 21 years. He was also active in the Burlington Minor Lacrosse
Association and many badminton clubs in the area. Visitation at
SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME , 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW),
BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where a Funeral
Service will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. If desired,
as an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society
would be greatly appreciated by the family.
